The Kawarthas Highlands Business and Lifestyle Blog

Start the day

I usually sleep like a rock. The older I get, the more I pay for when I eat crappy food. Last night was no exception and was paying for Sundays quick and easy meal after the kids hockey. I won’t forget this one anytime soon! I was up half the night with a good dose of heartburn.

The biggest surprise I got this morning was how good of moods everybody was in. I almost have to think that it was to do with the amount of hockey and time we spent together this weekend. I think the kids even got out the door a minute early to school.

Monday Morning Meetings

I even got to the office a little early this morning. Our team meets every Monday morning just so that we’re all on the same page. Lisa, our new team member and agent joined us via zoom for our meeting for the first time. Lots of brain storming happened and we have some new amazing plans for 2022. October was an unusually quiet month for us. It seems like it’s all coming in November. Lack of Listings seems to be the real driver. I believe that November is going to be a high listing month. Watch for a new listing I will have on Oak Lake later this week! Buyers are coming back out in full force, I think we’re getting back to normal.

End of Day

After working in the office all day I went to Atlas therapeutic in Peterborough for a float. If you’ve never done a float for relaxation and meditation before I highly recommend you checking them out. www.floatptbo.ca. Feeling wonderful from a time out I headed to Boston Pizza or some dinner. I ordered a salad, I learned my lesson last night!

As I was walking into BP, I watched Austin Matthews get his first goal for the year and his 200th career goal. Did you see the hit on Pesce from Richie? Wow, he got crushed! Is it time to trade Mitch Marner?
